Hi I’m Casey, the founder and artist behind Water & Dune!

First things first, I am honored and eternally grateful that you are taking time to visit my site and, maybe, are considering purchasing my art! I work so hard on every project. Tons of love and craftmanship (and even some accidental sand) goes into each piece I create. It is because of you all that my dream is possible - so thank you from the bottom of my heart! Keep reading to know a little more about me.

As an Ocean City life-long native - I was born with my toes on the nose of a longboard. As a toddler I learned to surf and swim in the waters of 28th street beach where my mother was the local lifeguard. When I was old enough - I too became an Ocean City Beach Patrol lifeguard, and guarded that exact beach like my mom (and brother) did. When I wasn’t at the beach, I was constantly doing some sort of art - painting surfboards, doodling on shoes, and tons of other nonsense. My friends and family would commission me to do projects for them - and, naturally, I fell in love with it.

I started Water & Dune back in 2020 during peak Covid times and decided I wanted to create a unique art collection tailored to the Ocean City experience - from a local’s point of view! Over night, I purchase materials and created a website to sell locally and online. After that, it took off! After pandemic restrictions were lifted and I had to return to my full-time position as a teacher – I decided to move Water & Dune to commission-based projects only. This included: commission paintings, custom jewelry, wedding signage, and baby shower signage! All of those ventures are currently ongoing.

Now, I look forward to continuing and furthering my passion - selling online and looking into makers markets like the Ocean City Block Party, the Somers Point Farmers Market, and even putting my products in local stores!
